Welcome to PlotTwisted

Life threw me a plot twist. Then another. Then it just started improvising. So I figured I'd write it all down before I forget which parts actually happened.

Welcome to PlotTwisted.

This blog exists because I got tired of keeping my stories straight. You know how it goes—you tell someone a version of your life that seems to make sense, and by the time you tell someone else, you've simplified it, exaggerated it, or accidentally made yourself sound more interesting than you actually are.

PlotTwisted is the place where I stop doing that.

Here you'll find essays about the messy, layered, sometimes absurd reality of modern life. The things that don't fit neatly into categories. The relationships that look weird from the outside and make perfect sense from within. The moments where life stops following the script and you have to figure out how to keep going anyway.

Because that's the thing: the best stories aren't the ones that follow the plan. They're the ones that surprise you. The plot twists.

I write about living arrangements that don't fit standard boxes. Compatibility theories that shouldn't work but somehow do. The passive-aggressive shared calendars and the organizational disasters that feel like home. The particular chaos of cohabitation where everyone's quirks are on display and somehow you keep showing up anyway.

I also write about the quieter stuff. The feelings that show up unscheduled. The identity you build when your life doesn't fit what other people expected for you. The strange comfort of being "the one people tell stories about"—even when you're not entirely sure what story they're telling.

This is the personal blog portion of PlotTwisted. There's more coming—a book, eventually, that dives deeper into these themes. Something that takes all the layered, complicated, sometimes contradictory parts of modern life and actually explores them instead of just poking fun at them.

But for now, there's this. Essays. Stories. The kind of honest writing that makes you laugh and uncomfortable at the same time.

Somewhere in all this mess, there's a book. Probably.

Stick around.

If you liked this one, there's more where it came from. New stories every week.
